The roles and responsibilities of the officers of the board are described in Article IX in our Constitution
and Bylaws.
President
Presides at league meetings, and assumes full responsibility for the operation of the local league. The president
receives all mail, supplies, and other communications from the Little League International. The president must see
to it that league personnel is properly briefed on all phases of rules, regulations, and policies of Little League.
The league president is the contact between the local organization and Little League
International.

Conduct affairs of the League and
execute the policies established by the Board of Directors.
Present a report of the condition of the League
at the annual meeting.
Communicate to the Board of Directors, such matters as deemed appropriate, and make
such suggestions as may tend to promote the welfare of the League.
Be responsible for the conduct of the
local League in strict conformity to the policies, principles, Rules and Regulations of Little League Baseball,
Incorporated, as agreed to under the conditions of charter issued the League by that organization.
Designate
in writing, other officers if necessary, to have power to make and execute for/and in the name of the League
such contracts and leases as may have received and prior approval of the Board.
Investigate
complaints, irregularities and conditions detrimental to the League and report thereon to the Board or Executive
Committee as circumstances warrant
Prepare and submit an annual budget to the Board of Directors and be
responsible for the proper execution thereof
With the assistance of the Player Agent examine the
application and support proof-of-age documents of every player candidate and certify to residence and age
eligibility before the player may be accepted for tryouts and selection.
Vice President
Presides in the absence of the president; works with other officers and committee members; is ex-official member of
all committees and carries out such duties and assignments as may be delegated by the
President.

In case of the absence or disability of
the President, and provided he is authorized by the President or Board so to act, the Vice-president shall
perform the duties of the President, and when so acting, shall have all the powers of that office, and shall
have such other duties as from time to time may be assigned by the Board of Directors or by the
President.
Secretary
Maintains a register of members and directors; records the minutes of meetings; is responsible for sending out notice
of meetings, issues membership cards and maintains a record of league’s activities.

reports on the status of league funds; keeps local league books and financial records; prepares budgets and assumes
the responsibility for all local league finances.

Receive all monies and securities, and deposit
same in a depository approved by the Board of Directors.

thereof.
Prepare an annual budget, under the direction of the President, for submission to the Board of
Directors at the annual meeting.
Prepare an annual financial report, under the direction of the
President, for submission to the Board of Directors at the annual meeting.
Player Agent
Conducts annual tryouts, and is in charge of player selection, assists president in checking birth records and
eligibility of players; serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the local league and generally supervises
and coordinates the transfer of players to or from the Minor Leagues according to provisions of the regulations of
Little League.

Record
all player transactions and maintain an accurate and up-to-date record thereof.
Receive and review
applications for player candidates and assist the President in checking residence and age eligibility.
Conduct the player auction or draft and all other player transaction or selection meetings.
Prepare
the Player Agent's List.
Prepare for the President's signatures and submission to Little League
Headquarters. Team rosters, including players' claimed and the tournament team eligibility affidavit.
Notify Little League Headquarters of any subsequent player replacements or trades.
Safety Officer
Coordinates all safety activities; ensures safety in player training; ensures safe playing conditions; coordinates
reporting and prevention of injuries; solicits suggestions for making conditions safer; reports suggestions to
Little League International through the league president and prepares the ASAP plan for submission to Little League
International.
Official Description from Bylaws:Be responsible to create awareness,
through education and information, of the opportunities to provide a safer environment for our youngsters and all
participants of Little League Baseball.
Develop and implement a plan for increasing safety of activities,
equipment and facilities through education, compliance and reporting. 1. Education – Should facilitate meetings and
distribute information among participants including players, managers, coaches, umpires, league officials, parents,
guardians and other volunteers. 2. Compliance – Should promote safety compliance leadership by increasing awareness
of the safety opportunities that arise from these responsibilities. 3. Reporting – Define a process to assure that
incidents are recorded, information is sent to league/district and national offices, and follow-up information on
medical and other data is forwarded as available.
Manager Coordinator
Represents coaches/managers in league; presents a coach/ manager training budget to the board; gains the support and
funds necessary to implement a league-wide training program; orders and distributes training materials to players,
coaches and managers; coordinates mini-clinics as necessary; serves as the contact person for Little League and its
manager-coach education. Receives and distributes coaching information from Little League International and
distributes to all coaches and managers.
Official Description from Bylaws:
Compile a list of interested individuals to coach and
manage in the upcoming season.
Compile the appropriate documentation concerning annual background checks,
including a nationwide criminal search and a search of the National Sex Offender Registry as per Williamsport
and any other background checks deemed necessary by the league on any individuals engaged in the business of the
League or in the contact with the children. All volunteers of the League shall have these background checks on
file.
Make sure all coaches and managers have up to date applications on file and proper paper work kept on
all volunteers.
In conjunction with the President and coach selection committee, interview interested
individuals for manager and coach positions and offer input to President regarding the President’s
recommendations to the Board from the upcoming season.
Serve as liaison between coaches/managers/division
directors and the Board of Directors.
Present a coach/manager training program for approval by the board of
directors.
Complete the manager/coaches training program prior to the start of the upcoming
season.
Umpire-in-Chief (U.I.C.)
Serves as coordinator of and advises the league President on the league umpire program; responsible for recommending
umpires to the league President for appointment to the league umpire roster; recruiting and retaining volunteer
umpires; establishing a league umpire training program consistent with Little League® guidelines; coordinating and
assisting with conducting umpire clinics at league and district level; communicating rule changes to league umpires;
scheduling league umpires for regular season games; evaluating league umpires using established guidelines to
maintain program integrity; further continual improvement, and prepare league umpires for advancement to tournament
levels; communicating with and providing updates to the District Umpire Consultant on the league umpire program, and
attending Umpire Training programs at the District, State, Region, and/or Headquarters level.
IT Coordinator
Sets up and manages league’s official website; sets up online registration and ensures the league rosters are
uploaded to Little League; assigns online administrative rights to other local volunteers; encourages creation of
team web sites to managers, coaches, and parents; ensures that league news and scores are updated online on a
regular basis; collects, posts, and distributes important information on league activities including direct
dissemination of fundraising and sponsor activities to Little League, the district, the public, league members, and
the media; serves as primary contact person for Little League and Dick’s Team Sports HQ regarding optimizing use of
the Internet for league administration and for distributing information to league members and to Little League
International. Provides player, coach, and manager records to Little League International in electronic format.
Sponsorship Coordinator
Solicits and secures local sponsorships to support league operations; collects and reviews sponsorship and
fundraising opportunities; organizes and implements approved league fundraising activities; coordinates
participation in fundraising activities; and maintains records of monies secured through sponsorship and fundraising
initiatives.
Concession Coordinator
Maintains the operation of concession facilities; organizes the purchase of concession products; responsible
for the management of the concession sales at league events; schedules volunteers to work the concession booth
during league events; collects and reviews concession related offers including coupons, discounts, and
bulk-purchasing opportunities; and organizes, tallies and keeps records of concession sales and purchases.
Social Media Coordinator
Maintains social media presence of the league and oversees online marketing.
Uniform Coordinator
Orders uniforms for teams and coordinates with Team Managers to distribute team uniforms.
Equipment Coordinator
Coordinates with managers to distribute and collect equipment at the beginning/end of season. Oversees League
inventory of team equipment including purchasing new equipment as necessary and maintaining and organizing the
League storage facility.
Field Maintenance Coordinator
Responsible for ensuring field boxes are properly equipped for field prep. Maintains field equipment such as
tractors. Works with Equipment Coordinator to purchase and store field supplies.
Scheduling Coordinator
Creates League playing schedule. Works with the district to make schedule for interlocked divisions. Reserves fields
for games with owning organization.
