Tryouts/Evals

Spring 2013

All players registered for Minors Softball and above, or AAA Baseball and above, MUST attend tryouts/evaluations. All players must be registered prior to tryouts and complete at least 50% of a try-out to be drafted.

Dates:

Juniors Softball, AAA Baseball and Majors Baseball Saturday February 9^th.
Minors and Majors Softball, Sunday February 10^th.
Juniors and Seniors Baseball Sunday March 3^rd.

Times:

See below for specific times. All players need to arrive 30 minutes early for check-in. Each division will spend approximately 2 hours in tryouts. If you cannot make your assigned time, contact your player agent. There will be a first-come first-serve makeup tryout on Monday, February 11^th at 6:30 PM – but you must get a reservation from your player agent due to limited spots.

Equipment needed or suggested for try-outs
No cleats are allowed at Diamond sports – wear comfortable tennis/athletic shoes
Glove - All players will need a glove for tryouts – if you do not have one, the league will have a few available at tryouts.
Bat – players may bring a bat from home but please verify that it is Little League approved through our website (don’t verify by the stamp on the bat). The league will provide bats during tryouts
Helmet – players may bring a helmet from home or the league will provide one
Batting gloves – optional
Baseball bag – optional to keep all your gear together

Majors Baseball Tryouts
All players’ ages 11-12 must attend try-outs unless returning to a Major Division team. 10 year-olds can now tryout for Majors Baseball.

AAA Baseball Tryouts
All players age 10 are required to try-out for AAA, if not trying out for Majors. Players age 9 may also register and tryout for AAA. On a case by case basis, with a board approved waiver, age 8 players may tryout (they still must register for A). 9 year olds are strongly encouraged to participate in the tryout session.

Juniors, Majors, and Minors Softball
All girls’ ages 11-12 must attend try-outs unless returning to a Major Division team. In an effort to balance the Minor softball teams, all (9) year olds, plus any (8) and (10) year olds who registered for Minors softball are required to attend the evaluation on February 10th.

All baseball and softball players ages 12-16, not returning to a Majors, Juniors or Seniors Division team are required to attend try-outs.
